MATCHED BETTING DIARY…15 MONTHS ON

My monthly matched betting diaries detail the amount of money I make matched betting each month. What with running this blog, managing some other work I’ve taken on and looking after two young children, I don’t have a lot of spare time for matched betting. However, I still manage to make around £500 per month. By sharing these diary entries I aim to show how this is possible.

If you’re wondering how you can find the time for matched betting, then check out my matched betting daily planner. This sets out the different activities I complete every day to help me stay on top of my matched betting.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

SEPTEMBER 2017 – £450.25

  • The total amount I made matched betting in September 2017 was £450.25.

After a quiet summer and time out of the country last month, I was looking forward to making some decent money once again this month.

There were lots of offers available to take part in. However, I didn’t factor in that I had plans every weekend this month. This is when most of the offers are available. So, as the month progressed, I was doubtful whether I’d make anywhere near my £500 target. However, by attempting some reload offers I’d previously dismissed I found that my earnings kept creeping up. I’d previously ignored them because I thought they might involve too much effort for very little reward. However, in reality, they actually didn’t involve too much extra effort at all. The lesson from this is to always attempt as many different offers as possible.

In fact, if I hadn’t had some bad luck on my accumulator bets, I’d have met my target easily. However, I’m more than happy to have only fallen short of the £500 target by only £50. Particularly as my matched betting was limited to a maximum of 4-5 hours each week.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £8382.86

matched betting mum monthly diary earnings

I’ve made nearly £8500 since I started matched betting last year.

I’ve made a total of £8382.86 since I started matched betting in July 2016.

You might want to look at my previous income reports, which show how and when I’ve made this money:

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

As I’ve been doing matched betting for more than a year now, most of the offers I complete are reload offers. These are the ongoing offers bookmakers have available. These enable you to make money matched betting month after month.

Most days I check the list of offers on Profit Accumulator and also review the ‘How to Make £1000 a Month’ thread on Profit Accumulator’s forum. This ensures I know about new offers as soon as they become available.

This month I was pleasantly surprised that there were lots of offers available with new bookmakers. Completing these offers gave my earnings a real boost.

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £106.84

  • These are the standard matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • With the football season back in full swing, there were lots of different offers to get involved in this month.

CASINO OFFERS: £113.33

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, I’d recommend you take a look at my introductory guide to casino offers.
  • They can be fun, but they can also be time consuming. And there’s no guarantee you’ll make money from them.
  • This month, I attempted lots of lower risk offers. While none gave me any substantial wins, the small amounts of money I kept banking slowly added up.
  • It is important to remember that not all casino offers are risk-free. Profit Accumulator always analyse each offer and provide guidance about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers. I tend to tackle the riskier offers when I’m confident of making my £500 monthly matched betting target. And I’ll only ever tend to risk a maximum of £25 at any one time.
  • It’s important not to rely on casino offers alone for making money. However, I use them to top up my earnings and am prepared to get involved in the riskier offers if I’m having a good month. As my previous diary entries show, I have on occasions ended up down as a result of participating in these offers.
  • I would advise you to think carefully about the amount of money you want to risk. Then have a go. But always follow Profit Accumulator’s advice and never ever be tempted to try and win back any money you lose by having another go!

REFUND OFFERS: £106.38

  • These are offers where you receive a free bet depending on the outcome of match or competition. For example, you might get a free bet if your horse finishes first or second in a race. Or if a football match ends in a 0-0 draw.
  • As there is no guarantee of a free bet, these are riskier offers. You will suffer some qualifying losses if the refund trigger does not occur. My guide to the different types of risks involved in matched betting might help you understand more.

NEW OFFERS: £113.95

  • I always check the Sportsbook Signup Offers listed on Profit Accumulator every couple of months. There are always new bookmakers emerging onto the market. And most will have lucrative signup offers.
  • I was very surprised to see three new bookmaker offers which made me quite a substantial amount of money this month.
  • Completing these offers reminded me just how frustrating it can be completing some of the new offers. Many have large rollover requirements attached to them. This can be time consuming and laborious!
  • If you’re at that stage, I’d urge you to keep going. Once you complete the signup offers, you will find you understand the matched betting process much more fully. And you’ll be able to complete the offers much quicker. And what’s more, the reload offers rarely involve too much effort. This means the longer you do matched betting, the quicker and easier it is to make money.

PRICE BOOSTS: £55.99

  • Price boosts are when bookmakers increase the odds on certain events. These odds will often be higher than the prices on betting exchanges, which means you can make money instantly simply by placing a qualifying and a lay bet.
  • I love completing price boosts because they are very quick and easy to do. The amounts of money you can make from price boosts may seem very small – only a few pounds at a time, if that. However, it takes only a couple of minutes to complete the bets. And this money very quickly adds up.
  • To stay on top of them I follow the ‘Price Boosts Thread’ on the Profit Accumulator forum. Since some price boosts may only be available for a very short time, this ensures I receive an alert as soon as a boost is posted to the forum.
  • Most months I tend to make between £50-£100 from price boosts alone. There seemed to be fewer profitable price boosts available this month. But this may be due to the fact that I didn’t do any matched betting at the weekends.

ACCUMULATOR OFFERS: -£41.24

  • I recently wrote a guide about making money from accumulator bets.
  • With the return of the football season, I was hoping to do more accumulator bets. However, I didn’t anticipate that most bookmakers would either withdraw their offers or significantly alter their terms and conditions.
  • While there are still lots of offers available, it will be much harder to make significant amounts of money from them. This is particularly the case for me, as I don’t have a great deal of extra time to track and stay on top of my accumulator bets, especially if my weekends are busy.
  • That said, there is still money to be made. So I decided to undertake a few different offers this month.
  • My usual approach is to use the normal method and hope for a refund if only one leg loses. I will usually underlay each leg to reduce my qualifying losses. And if that team loses I will then swap to the refund lock in method to guarantee a small profit.
  • This didn’t work out on any of the accumulators I attempted this month. Firstly, I had a run of bad luck in that the lay odds drifted for nearly all of my selections. This meant my qualifying losses racked up quite significantly. So when I had a loser towards the end of each accumulator I decided to take a chance for the refund (as it would have been impossible to make a profit from the lock in method by that stage). Unfortunately, luck wasn’t on my side as all of those last legs also lost.
  • This has burnt me a little. It certainly is possible to make money from accumulator bets. But you will also make some losses. So I think it is probably best to do these types of bets only if you can place lots of them at the same time. It will then be easier to mitigate against your qualifying losses.
  • As I simply don’t have the time to do this, I think I might take a little break from accumulators for now.

MISTAKES: -£5.00

  • I’ve previously written about how easy it is to make mistakes when you do matched betting.
  • This month’s error was unfortunately caused by my rogue desktop computer. It’s got a very sensitive touch screen and mouse pad which inadvertently selected a completely different bet than I was planning to choose. In my rush to get the bet placed, I didn’t double check what I was doing. So I backed the wrong selection. It was quite a large bet, which I had to cash out, costing me £5.
  • So now I’m being extra cautious when I’m using the computer to place bets!

MATCHED BETTING DIARY…14 MONTHS ON

Every month I publish monthly matched betting diaries showing the amount of money I’ve made matched betting the previous month. My aim is to show just how much it is possible to make if you have a little spare time for matched betting.

I try to make about £500 per month matched betting. However, I expected my earnings to go down significantly this month.

As we were coming to the tail end of a quiet summer of sport I didn’t expect there to be many offers available in early August.

However, this month we were in Cyprus for nearly three weeks. This meant no matched betting. It was a full on family holiday, with no time for sitting back and sunbathing – let alone placing any bets!

I also don’t recommend attempting to place bets from other countries with UK bookmakers. Most bookmakers don’t allow those based outside the UK to bet with them. And they can detect whether you are accessing their sites through the IP address. Some people try to hide this with VPNs. However, I didn’t want to do anything which might flag my account to the bookmakers.

For these reasons, I hoped to make £100 this month. But I wasn’t sure if this was very realistic.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

AUGUST 2017 – £211.18

  • The total amount I made matched betting in August 2017 was £211.18.

My matched betting this month was limited to the first couple of weeks in August. However, I also needed to entertain the children during this time. And trying to get us organised for a three week holiday took up an unfathomable amount of effort!

I probably spent about 8 hours in total matched betting. I was therefore very happy to make more than £200 in this time! This was boosted by a free bingo bonus offer, but I also had an unexpected boost from some racing offers associated to a small horse racing festival.

I missed out on most of the offers associated with the start of the new Premiership football season. But we had a brilliant time away. And, as we only paid £200 to fly all four of us to Cyprus and back business class – in the middle of the summer holidays – I wasn’t too fussed about missing out on a few offers for a while.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £7932.61

Matched Betting Mum Diary 14 Months

Matched Betting Mum has made nearly £8,000 since she started matched betting in her spare time just over a year ago.

So I’ve made a total of £7932.61 since I started matched betting in July 2016.

Many people can and do make more than me. However, I do matched betting in my spare time around the children. At best, I can normally spare about six hours per week for matched betting. Most of the time this isn’t possible. So I’m chuffed to make as much as I have done over the last year.

You might want to look at my previous income reports, which show how and when I’ve made this money:

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

Most of the money I make comes from checking the list of offers on Profit Accumulator most days. I also follow the ‘How to Make £1000 a Month’ thread on Profit Accumulator’s forum so I am notified of new offers when they become available.

Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in this month. Some offers will be riskier than others. So you might risk a qualifying loss for the chance of a free bet. My guide to the different types of risks involved in matched betting might help you understand this a little more.

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £97.12

  • These are the standard matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • Luckily, there was a horse racing festival this month which meant there were lots of offers available. These, together with a few advanced offers to celebrate the start of the new football season, helped me make quite a significant amount this month.

CASINO OFFERS: £16.95

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, I’d recommend you take a look at my introductory guide to casino offers.
  • They can be fun, but they can also be time consuming. And there’s no guarantee you’ll make money from them.
  • Further, not all casino offers are risk-free. Profit Accumulator always analyse each offer and provide guidance about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers .I tend to tackle the riskier offers when I’m confident of making my £500 monthly matched betting target. And I’ll only ever tend to risk a maximum of £25 at any one time.
  • It’s important not to rely on casino offers for making money. However, I use them to top up my earnings and am prepared to get involved in the riskier offers if I’m having a good month. As my previous diary entries will show, I have on occasions ended up down as a result of participating in these offers.
  • I would advise you to think carefully about the amount of money you want to risk. Then have a go. But always follow Profit Accumulator’s advice and never ever be tempted to try and win back any money you lose by having another go!

REFUND OFFERS: £22.51

  • These are offers where you receive a free bet depending on the outcome of match or competition. For example, you might get a free bet if your horse finishes first or second in a race. Or if a football match ends in a 0-0 draw.
  • As there is no guarantee of a free bet, these are riskier offers. You will suffer some qualifying losses if the refund trigger does not occur.

BINGO OFFERS: £74.60

  • If you read my diaries regularly, you’ll be aware that I’ve been very lucky with some free bingo bonuses over the last few months.
  • The same happened again this month! I was very surprised and am sure my luck must have run out now. The same offer – a £5 free bonus at the beginning of the month – has paid out significant amounts of money to me three times in total!
  • This is purely down to luck. However, I’ve found that I tended to win when playing in the mornings. I also chose the games that fewer people were playing. While the prizes weren’t as large, this no doubt increased my chances of winning.

MONTHLY MATCHED BETTING DIARIES…13 MONTHS ON

I publish monthly matched betting diaries showing how much money I’ve made matched betting in the previous month. My aim is to show how easy it is to make a little extra cash matched betting in your spare time.

I try to make about £500 per month matched betting. However, it’s been a quiet summer of sport and I was expecting my earnings to go down this month. I hoped to make £100 but wasn’t sure how realistic this was.

PROFIT ACCUMULATOR COMPETITION

Last month was momentous, with me celebrating my first year matched betting.  To mark the occasion, I teamed up with Profit Accumulator to launch a great competition. You can win a year’s platinum membership to Profit Accumulator. It’s worth £150.

My Profit Accumulator review provides lots of information about what’s included in their membership package. So why not check it out and enter the competition today? The closing date is 31st August. Good luck!

I now rely on matched betting reload offers. These are the ongoing offers which allow you to carry on making money matched betting long after you’ve completed all of the bookmaker sign up offers. Most of the profitable matched betting offers tend to be connected to football. However, with no football tournaments this year, there hasn’t been too much to bet on.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

JULY 2017 – £164.50

  • The total amount I made matched betting in June 2017 was £164.50

There weren’t many reload offers available this month so I didn’t expect to make much money. Added to this, the summer holidays are now upon us. I don’t like to do matched betting when the children are around. Splitting my attention between the children and a computer screen isn’t good for any of us. And it’s far more likely I’ll make some matched betting mistakes.

We’ve also been away a couple of times. I lost a few days at a fabulous wedding and its resultant 2-day hangover! And we also went with both sets of in laws to stay in a caravan in Norfolk another weekend.  Not for the faint hearted!

So it’s fair to say I haven’t had much time for matched betting. Maybe a few hours at most. I’m therefore pleasantly surprised to have made more than £150 this month.

With the return of the football season in August there will be lots more offers available. However, I’m away in Cyprus for almost three weeks. So I’ll be missing out on these. I hope to make about £100 again since I won’t be around once the football starts. But I can’t wait to have a holiday. And as we only paid £200 to fly all four of us to Cyprus and back business class, I’m not too bothered about missing out on offers for a little while.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £7721.43

Matched Betting Mum made more than £7500 since starting matched betting with Profit Accumulator in July 2016

So I’ve made a total of £7721.43 since starting matched betting in July 2016. I know there are lots of people out there who make an awful lot more than this. However, I do matched betting in my spare time around the children. At best, I can normally spare about six hours per week for matched betting. And as this month’s report shows, this isn’t always possible.

All of my previous income reports are listed here in case you find them helpful:

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

Most of the money I make comes from checking the list of offers on Profit Accumulator most days. I also follow the ‘How to Make £1000 a Month’ thread on Profit Accumulator’s forum so I am notified of new offers when they become available.

Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in this month:

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £19.19

  • These are the standard matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • There weren’t too many offers available this month and I also rarely logged in to check. I have been taking part in an offer that will give me a £50 free bet next month, so this will be boosted next month.

CASINO OFFERS: £87.96

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, I’d recommend you take a look at my introductory guide to casino offers.
  • Not all casino offers are risk-free. Profit Accumulator always analyse each offer and provide guidance about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers.I tend to tackle the riskier offers when I’m confident of making my £500 monthly matched betting target. And I’ll only ever tend to risk a maximum of £25 at any time.
  • This month I was reluctant to tackle the risky offers since I knew my matched betting income was likely to be low. So I only took part in the risk free offers. I was lucky to hit a big win which boosted my income dramatically this month.

PRICE BOOSTS: £12.12

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money.
  • Clearly, I didn’t participate in many price boosts this month. However, I made this money simply from placing two different bets.

TENNIS REFUND OFFERS: £36.85

  • These are offers where you receive a free bet depending on the outcome of match or competition. There were a few offers connected to Wimbledon this month. I participated in one where I would receive a free bet if the person I backed to win the championship lost in five sets.
  • As there is no guarantee of a free bet, these are riskier offers. You will suffer some qualifying losses if the refund trigger doesn’t happen. I managed to find a close match for Nadal with only minimal qualifying losses. I reasoned that one of the favourites was more likely to lose in five sets, so took the chance. And it paid off when Nadal exited the tournament early.

ACCUMULATOR OFFERS: £8.38

  • Accumulators can be a very lucrative form of additional income if you have enough time to place and track the bets. This guide to accumulator bets tells you how you can make money from these offers.
  • Finding and placing these bets is very easy, thanks to the brilliant Acca Catcher tool Profit Accumulator have developed.
  • However, with no football to bet on, I wasn’t expecting to make any money from accas this month.
  • But the qualifying stages for the Europa league started this month, with some low priced favourites playing. This meant there was an opportunity to make money locking in profit by laying off all the legs at the same time. As all the teams I backed won, I made a fair amount of profit from only one accumulator.

Matched Betting Mum Profit Accumulator Monthly Diary

MONTHLY MATCHED BETTING DIARIES…1 YEAR ON!

Regular readers will know I publish a monthly diary series setting out the amount of money I’ve made matched betting. The purpose is to show how easy it is to make this extra cash. And to provide a realistic insight into how much time I’ve been able to spare to do matched betting.

This month’s update is rather special, since it marks my first matched betting anniversary!

This time last year I was hoping that matched betting might help me make some extra money. Ideally, I wanted to try and make £500 per month. However, I didn’t know how realistic this was. After the initial sign up offers, would I really be able to carry on making money through reload offers alone?

I’m chuffed that I met this target three months early. So the money I’ve made matched betting recently has been a bonus.

I wouldn’t have been able to make this money without the help of Profit Accumulator. The best way to describe them is as a matched betting support service. My Profit Accumulator review gives lots of information about the service they provide. Put simply, Profit Accumulator holds my hand through the entire matched betting process.

They tell me which offers are available every day, how much money I’m likely to make, and what bets I need to place. This saves me the time and effort of doing this work myself! And looking after two young children full-time means I don’t have much spare time. In fact, I’m lucky if I can spare an hour for matched betting most days. Yet I regularly manage to make about £500 per month.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

JUNE 2017 – £400.17

  • The total amount I made matched betting in June 2017 was £400.17.

With the football season coming to a close towards the end of May, I didn’t expect to make too much money this month. In fact, I set myself the very low target of £100 per month until the end of August 2017.

The reason for this low target is because I rely exclusively on reload offers to make money matched betting. Most of these offers are connected to football matches. With no football to bet on, I didn’t think there would be too many offers available.

So I am amazed that I made just over £400 this month! Once again, I had a lucky spell on a bingo offer. But I also made money from Royal Ascot and some one-off football matches.

This is even more impressive because I’ve been focussing on this blog a little more in my spare time so also had two weeks off from matched betting. I probably only spared six hours per week at the most when I was matched betting this month. Once you are experienced at matched betting, it becomes quicker and easier to place bets. It is no longer cumbersome and really is very easy to fit in whenever you have a spare moment. This explains why I was able to make so much for relatively little effort!

Making this money does take the pressure off somewhat for the next couple of months. This is fortunate since there are not too many high profile sporting events planned at this time of year. So there are fewer offers available. Judging by my experience so far this month, I don’t think I’ll be making too much money. But I’ll check in with you all next month nonetheless.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £7556.93

matched betting mum profit accumulator review

Matched Betting Mum made more than £7500 in her first year matched betting with Profit Accumulator

So, in my first year matched betting I made £7556.93. I know there are lots of people out there who make an awful lot more than this. However, I do matched betting in my spare time around the children. At best, I can normally spare about six hours per week for matched betting. And my previous earnings reports – which you can see below – show it’s not always possible for me to do this.

If you’re considering matched betting, I hope you find these diary entries helpful. They aim to provide a realistic overview of how much you can make from doing matched betting, and how.

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

So how did I make that money? My experience shows that it’s possible to keep making money from matched betting long after completing all of the initial sign up offers. My guide to reload offers sets out the main type of offers that are available. Most of the money I make comes from checking the offers listed on Profit Accumulator’s website  most days. I also follow the ‘How to Make £1000 a Month’ thread on Profit Accumulator’s forum so I am notified of new offers when they become available.

Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in this month:

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £131.94

  • These are the standard matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • Considering I only did matched betting for about half of the month, I was really happy to make this much money. I was surprised by just how many offers there were connected to Royal Ascot. I’ve been to Royal Ascot a few times over the years and didn’t tend to come home with too much money. Although it wasn’t the same as being there, I definitely ended up with more money in my wallet by matched betting.

CASINO OFFERS: £34.68

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, my introductory guide is worth a read.
  • Not all casino offers are risk-free. I tend to tackle the riskier offers when I’m confident of making my £500 monthly matched betting target. And I’ll only ever tend to risk a maximum of £25 at any time.
  • It’s helpful that Profit Accumulator crunch the numbers and offer advice about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers.
  • You shouldn’t rely on casino offers for making money. However, I use them to top up my earnings and am prepared to get involved in the riskier offers if I’m having a good month. As my previous diary entries will show, I have on occasions ended up down as a result of participating in these offers.
  • My advice is to think carefully about the amount of money you are prepared to risk and have a go. But always follow Profit Accumulator’s advice and never ever be tempted to try and win back any money you lose by having another go!

PRICE BOOSTS: £44.50

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.

FOOTBALL REFUND OFFERS: £60.38

  • There are lots of different offers linked to the outcomes of different football games. This includes: when the team you back scores a goal; hitting the crossbar; and losing your bet in the last few minutes of a game.
  • There have been two very profitable offers recently where you can get extra earnings if your bet wins and there are more than 4 goals in the game, or where the team you back goes ahead by more than 2 goals.
  • To maximise the amount of money you can make from these offers, you need a large amount of money in your bank to place high value back and lay bets. I’ve been weary of doing this as my normal betting stakes are quite low. I don’t want to stand out to the bookmakers, who could then limit my accounts very quickly. However, I have been gradually upping my stakes to take advantage of these offers.
  • The football offers stopped in early June but I made sure I made use of the offers on the Champions League final at the beginning of the month.
  • For the first time ever, I’m now eagerly awaiting the start of the new football season. I hope these profitable offers make a return too.

HORSE REFUND OFFERS: £39.00

  • These are offers where you can get a free bet depending on the outcome of the race and the place where your horse finishes.
  • These are riskier offers in that there is no guarantee of a free bet, so you will suffer some qualifying losses.
  • I had a little bit of luck with the horse racing refunds this month and was happy to make some money after participating in a few different offers.
  • Unfortunately, I also forgot I had placed a bet on one race so didn’t realise I had also won another £50 free bet! Mistakes like these can and do happen. Fortunately, I’ve become a lot more organised but could have kicked myself about this. Read my guide to the common mistakes you can make matched betting to help you plan how to avoid similar pitfalls.

ACCUMULATOR OFFERS: £0.75

  • Accumulators can be a very lucrative form of additional income if you have enough time to place and track the bets. This guide to accumulator bets tells you how you can make money from these offers.
  • Finding and placing these bets is very easy, thanks to the brilliant Acca Catcher tool Profit Accumulator have developed.
  • I’m not placing too many accumulator bets at the moment, simply because the games are rather obscure.
  • However, there was an opportunity to make some money when there were international matches. When the odds are low, it can be profitable to lay off all of the legs at the same time. It therefore doesn’t matter if the matches take place at the same time. I chose to take a risk-free opportunity to make more money if all of the legs won. However, as one of the teams I chose lost their match, I didn’t win so only made the small amount of money shown above.

BINGO OFFERS: £88.92

  • After my big win on a free bingo bonus last month, I didn’t expect the same to happen again this month. However, amazingly, I walked away from the same offer nearly £90 up!
  • Regular readers will know I haven’t yet done too many bingo offers. I find it a little boring to be honest. For me, nothing can really beat sitting there with a dabber playing bingo for real. However, I know these offers can be quite lucrative. So I think it’s time to get a few more of these offers under my belt soon.

MONTHLY MATCHED BETTING DIARIES…11 MONTHS ON

Regular readers will know I publish a monthly diary series setting out the amount of money I’ve made matched betting. The purpose is to show how easy it is to make this extra cash. I’ve now been matched betting for 11 months. When I started out, my initial aim was to make about £500 per month from matched betting. I’m pleased to report I met this target nearly three months early. Anything I’m making until the end of June 2017 is a bonus.

I wouldn’t have been able to make this money without the help of Profit Accumulator. The best way to describe them is as a matched betting support service. They tell me which offers are available every day, how much money I’m likely to make, and what bets I need to place. They hold my hand through the entire process which saves me the time and effort! And looking after two young children full-time means I don’t have much spare time. In fact, I’m lucky if I can spare an hour for matched betting every day. Yet I regularly manage to make about £500 per month.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

MAY 2017 – £440.73

  • The total amount I made matched betting in May 2017 was £440.73

The latest update to my diary covers May 2017. I started out the month with a massive boost from a large win on a free bingo offer! This was great and meant that I could relax for the rest of the month. I had busy weekends planned with the family so was unable to spare any weekends to do matched betting. Meeting my new nephew and camping with the kids definitely needed to take priority! So I probably did matched betting a maximum of 3-4 hours per week this month.

This is the reason my income from other offers was lower than I’d normally expect. That said, I was disappointed not to hit the £500 mark because I could have done this if I hadn’t made some rookie mistakes. I forgot to lay a leg on an accumulator which cost me £30 and forgot to use £50 worth of free bets before they expired. As this post shows, mistakes can and do happen! Rather than dwell on them, it’s best just to move on to the next offer to start making money again.

With the football season drawing to a close this month, I also expect my matched betting earnings to decrease over the next three months. This is because most of the lucrative offers are attached to placing bets on football matches. I’ll be taking advantage by having a break from matched betting. However, I’ll still be looking to take advantage of any offers that are available. If I can £100 per month until the end of August 2017 I’ll be happy.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £7156.76

So, in the 11 months I’ve now been doing matched betting I have made £7156.76. If you want to learn more about how and when I made this money take a look at my previous earnings reports:

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

So how did I make that money? My experience shows that it’s possible to keep making money from matched betting long after completing all of the initial sign up offers. My guide to reload offers sets out the main type of offers that are available. Most of the money I make comes from checking the offers listed on Profit Accumulator’s website every day.

Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in this month:

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £60.58

  • These are the standard matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • This is lower than normal simply because most of these offers were available at the weekends. I was out and about with the family every weekend this month which meant it was impractical to place any bets.

CASINO OFFERS: £44.59

PRICE BOOSTS: £63.14

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.

FOOTBALL REFUND OFFERS: £15.97

  • It’s important to find close matches between the back and lay odds to take full advantage of these offers. As I didn’t have too much time to spare for this, I didn’t take advantage of too many of these offers this month. I did get lucky with more than £50 of free bets from a couple of offers. However, I forgot to use these  because I was away camping. This the reason my earnings were lower than I’d normally expect.

HORSE REFUND OFFERS: £10.04

  • These are offers where you can get a free bet depending on the outcome of the race and the place where your horse finishes.
  • These are riskier offers in that there is no guarantee of a free bet, so you will suffer some qualifying losses.
  • I only placed a couple of these types of bets this month so was happy to make this money.

ACCUMULATOR OFFERS: £6.22

  • Accumulators can be a very lucrative form of additional income if you have enough time to place and track the bets. This guide tells you how you can make money from these offers.
  • Finding and placing these bets is very easy, thanks to the brilliant Acca Catcher tool Profit Accumulator have developed. However, I struggle to then keep track of multiple accas when I have other plans. As most accas will be live at the weekends, this makes it difficult for me to get involved in these offers too often. I wanted to attempt a few this month. This involved me needing to lay some legs off whilst I was out and about. However, I forgot to do this on one match and ended up down by around £30.
  • When the football season starts again in August, I’ll make sure I only place these types of bets when I know I’ll be available – and unlikely to be distracted!

BINGO OFFERS: £240.19

  • I rarely complete bingo offers. In fact, I have several introductory offers still to complete. While I’m a big fan of the occasional game of bingo, the computerised versions just don’t compare to having your dabber and desperately checking for your numbers.
  • That said, I’ll always do any free offers that come along. Although I’ve never had any luck. Until this month! Somehow, I just kept winning whilst wagering through a small bonus I had been given.
  • This was a brilliant boost for me and meant I didn’t really feel the need to attempt too many other matched betting offers this month. It’s also given me the impetus to make sure I complete the introductory bingo offers that are still available especially now it’s a quiet time for other matched betting activity.

Matched Betting Mum 10 month diary

Monthly Matched Betting Diaries…10 Months On

Every month I provide a breakdown of the amount of money I’ve made matched betting. The purpose is to show how easy it is to make this extra cash. I’ve now been matched betting for 10 months. When I started out, my initial aim was to make about £500 per month from matched betting. Looking after two young children full-time means I don’t have much spare time. So I did wonder whether it was feasible to make this amount of money in the odd hour or so I can spare each day.

I’ve fallen short of this target only once. And the amount of money I’ve made in other months has more than made up for this! I rely heavily on using a matched betting service called Profit Accumulator to help me make this money. They tell me which offers are available and how much to bet in order to make the most amount of money. This saves me so much time!

I rely heavily on using a matched betting service called Profit Accumulator

The latest update to my diary covers the month of April 2017. I’ll summarise it as my lucky month. With the Easter holidays in full swing for the first couple of weeks, we had lots of trips out and time away planned. So I didn’t really do any matched betting. I made an exception during the Grand National, as I wanted to try out a new matched betting method. I was very lucky that this made me more than £300 that day alone! Combined with a reasonably big casino win, this meant I could relax and have a break for the rest of the month.

My earnings were therefore largely down to luck this month. This is very rare for me, though, and I’m confident that if I had been taking advantage of all the offers available then I could have easily made more than £1000 this month.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

aPRIL 2017 – £748.43

  • The total amount I made matched betting in March 2017 was £748.43.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £6716.03

So, in the ten months I’ve now been doing matched betting I have made £6716.03. This beats my £6000 annual target two months early!

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £163.21

  • These are the standard matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • This is lower than normal simply because I didn’t get involved in as many offers as I normally would this month.

CASINO OFFERS: £133.45

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, my introductory guide is worth a read.
  • Not all casino offers are risk-free. I tend to tackle the riskier offers when I’m confident of making my £500 monthly matched betting target. And I’ll only ever tend to risk a maximum of £25 at any time.
  • It’s helpful that Profit Accumulator crunch the numbers and offer advice about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers.
  • I got lucky this month, making more than £100 on a low-risk slot offer sent to me via email. It was an offer which offered me a refund up to £10 on any losses. Working my way through this, I got lucky and hit a large win.

PRICE BOOSTS: £57.63

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.

FOOTBALL REFUND OFFERS: £75.01

HORSE REFUND OFFERS: £3.09

  • These are offers where you can get a free bet depending on the outcome of the race and the place where your horse finishes.
  • These are riskier offers in that there is no guarantee of a free bet, so you will suffer some qualifying losses.
  • Although I didn’t get any refunds this month, I limited my losses by using a technique called underlaying. This meant I bet less than I should have on the exchange. If the horse had won and I received a refund, then I would have made less from the free bet, but this limited my inital outlay. Underlaying is an advanced technique and I would recommend following the advice given by Profit Accumulator before trying this.

EACH-WAY OFFERS: £335.72

  • This was a new type of offer I got involved in this month to try and make money from the Grand National.
  • Regular readers will know I normally have a flutter on the Grand National. We normally spend around £50 in total. This year, we decided to use that money as part of my matched betting pot for the day.
  • Normally, when you place an each-way bet you are betting on your horse finishing in the top 3. Occasionally, bookmakers will also pay out on an extra place, so the top 4 places instead of the top 3. You can make money from these offers if your horse finishes in that 4th place because the betting exchanges will only cover the first 3 places. Therefore, if the horse finishes in 4th, your bet will win at both the bookmakers and the betting exchange.
  • I’d been keen to try out this type of offer for a while. But normally there are large qualifying losses, so it’s not worth taking part. As it’s such a prestigious event, the Grand National is an exception.
  • I planned to try and cover all of the horses running in the race to ensure I would make money. With a field of 40 horses, this was quite a task and involved me glued to the computer screen for much of the day. In the end, I didn’t cover 3 horses and I preyed that none of them would finish in that extra place. This was a gamble and would have involved me losing around £50. As highlighted above, though, I had planned for this by using the money I would have otherwise bet on the race. Still, after a day’s work, I felt sick as the race started because I didn’t want all that hard work to go to waste.
  • Luckily, an outsider horse finished in that extra place, making me £335 instantly.
  • It was great to make this money. On reflection, though, I wouldn’t recommend my approach and I won’t be repeating this again. Instead, I would rather minimise my initial qualifying losses and take the chance on the odd one or two horses I select finishing in that extra place.

MISTAKES: -£19.68

  • Although matched betting is risk-free, I have highlighted before that it is easy to make mistakes.
  • Recently, I’ve avoided any mistakes. But, this month, I made a minor error forgetting to lay the second part of an accumulator price boost. This meant I was £20 down instead of an extra few pounds up.
  • I kicked myself and am getting better at using my phone to set reminders to place different bets.
  • This post should help you understand the most common types of mistakes you are likely to make and how to avoid them!

Matched Betting Mum Profit Accumulator Diary

Monthly Matched Betting Diaries…9 Months On

I need to open this latest update to my monthly matched betting diaries with an apology that there haven’t been any updates from me for a while. It’s been a chaotic couple of months so I’ve barely had time for matched betting, let alone updating everyone about how things are going! But I’m back now and there’s lots to tell you all about. Most notably, Profit Accumulator has had a little bit of shake up and so it’s now cheaper to join and jammed packed with lots of extra features. Check out my updated review of the service they provide if you’re wondering whether it’s worth signing up.

Profit Accumulator has had a little bit of a shake up and so it’s now cheaper to join and jammed packed with lots of extra features.

This latest instalment covers my matched betting earnings in March 2017. This was when the Cheltenham horse racing festival took place. Often touted as the highlight of the matched betting calendar, I was excited about the potential to earn lots of extra money this month. I wasn’t disappointed: I made £360 in the 4-day festival period alone. As I knew there would be lots of extra offers available, I planned to have extra help with childcare at this time. This allowed me to do matched betting for about 2-3 hours each day of the festival.

After Cheltenham, illness hit the family (again…one of the perils of a young family!) and so I wasn’t able to do as much matched betting as I normally would. On a good week I can normally spare about 6 hours for matched betting but I wasn’t doing any matched betting at all by the end of the month. Luckily, my Cheltenham earnings meant I was still able to hit my £500 monthly target comfortably.

I make about £500 per month matched betting. By sharing how I can do it, I hope to convince people that anyone can do matched betting.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

MARCH 2017 – £688.31

  • The total amount I made matched betting in February 2017 was £688.31.

When I started matched betting my aim was to make roughly £500 per month. Yet I’m on track to beat this target over the course of my first year matched betting. The main benefit to matched betting is that it allows me to make a little extra tax-free money each month for very little effort, at times that fit around my children.

It’s great that I can make this money at home, at times that suit me and my family

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £5967.60

So, in the nine months I’ve now been doing matched betting I have made an impressive £5967.60. So I’ve almost hit my £500 monthly target three months early!

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £518.44

  • These are the bread and butter matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • I was overwhelmed by the number of offers available linked to the Cheltenham festival, and made most of this money in that short space of time.

CASINO OFFERS: £22.64

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, my introductory guide is worth a read.
  • Not all casino offers are risk-free. I tend to tackle the riskier offers when I’m confident of making my £500 monthly matched betting target. And I’ll only ever tend to risk a maximum of £25 at any time.
  • It’s helpful that Profit Accumulator crunch the numbers and offer advice about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers.
  • There were quite a few free spin and risk-free offers available this month linked to the Cheltenham Festival, which meant I was able to make a little bit of extra money largely risk-free.
  • My advice is to think carefully about the amount of money you are prepared to risk and have a go. But always follow Profit Accumulator’s advice and never ever be tempted to try and win back any money you lose by having another go!

ACCUMULATOR REFUNDS: £59.42

  • These are offers where you get a free bet if one leg of an accumulator – where you bet on a few different results as part of the same bet – loses.
  • I do find accumulator bets quite time consuming so didn’t have time to complete a great amount this month. I had also lost money through high qualifying losses in the last few months, so was weary of completing too many. However, I completed a few risk-free ones this month. These guaranteed me profit if all the legs won. These all came in, so revealing just how easy it was to make extra money this way.
  • My guide to accumulator bets has been on my to do list for a while now. As Profit Accumulator now offer free software to help you complete accumulator bets more easily, it is a priority for me to complete this guide for you all as soon as possible. I will publish this soon, I promise!

PRICE BOOSTS: £36.94

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.

FOOTBALL REFUND OFFERS: £42.87

HORSE REFUND OFFERS: £5.85

  • These are offers where you can get a free bet depending on the outcome of the race and the place where your horse finishes.
  • These are riskier offers in that there is no guarantee of a free bet, so you will suffer some qualifying losses.
  • I didn’t have a great deal of luck this month, in spite of there being more offers available through Cheltenham. But I was grateful to make even the small amount of money I did.

Matched betting mum diary earnings

Monthly Matched Betting Diaries…9 Months On

Those of you who follow this blog will know that I regularly update my matched betting diaries to show how much money I’m making from matched betting. This is the latest instalment covering my matched betting earnings in February 2017.

The purpose of these updates is to show just how much it’s possible to earn from matched betting in your spare time. I’m a full time mum of two. It goes without saying that life is pretty hectic. On a good week I can normally spare about 6 hours for matched betting. But this isn’t always the case, sometimes it’s a lot less! Yet I make about £500 per month matched betting. By sharing how I can do it, I hope to convince people that anyone can do matched betting. With the support of Profit Accumulator, it’s possible to make money long-term from matched betting.

I make about £500 per month matched betting. By sharing how I can do it, I hope to convince people that anyone can do matched betting.

Busy Busy Busy

The trail end of Winter has brought lots of bugs into the household and we’ve all been suffering with various ailments. My youngest, 18-month-old Oliver, really has taken the full brunt of it all, meaning he was a very clingy and demanding little baby for most of the month. It was also half-term and I had a weekend away planned. Thrown into the mix was also the small matter of planning Lily’s 5th birthday party – with 25 excited 4 & 5-year-olds! So it goes without saying it’s been a busy month!

Matched betting necessarily had a to take a bit of a backseat this month. That’s why I’m amazed to have made the most money I have since last October. Admittedly, this was helped by me getting lucky on a few different casino offers this month. I also had one final sign up offer to complete. I’d been putting it off for a few months because it had a large rollover attached to it, meaning my money would be tied up for a while. So it was time to bite the bullet and tackle it this month!

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

FEBRUARY 2017 – £614.68

  • The total amount I made matched betting in February 2017 was £614.68.

When I started matched betting my aim was to make roughly £500 per month. While I’ve beaten that target this month this isn’t always possible. Yet I’m still on track to make this much over the course of my first year matched betting.

Given I was so busy and it was also a short month, it was difficult to find time for matched betting. So, again, I probably spent about 4 hours per week matched betting on average. It’s amazing to have earned more than £600 for 16 hours’ work. That works out to almost £40 per hour this month! It’s great that I can make this money at home, at times that suit me and my children.

It’s great that I can make this money at home, at times that suit me and my children

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £5279.29

So, in the eight months I’ve now been doing matched betting I have made an impressive £5279.29. If you want to learn more about how and when I made this money take a look at my previous earnings reports:

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

So how did I make that money? Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in through February 2017:

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £388.36

  • These are the bread and butter matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • Profit Accumulator list all of the reload offers you can continue to get involved in long after completing the bookmaker sign up offers. Most of my earnings come from checking this list most days.
  • It’s also worth checking back to the sign up offers listed on Profit Accumulator every month or so. As I mentioned above, I had one final signup offer to complete which I’d been putting off because there was a large rollover attached should the qualifying and/or free bet win into the bookmaker account. But I bit the bullet this month and was still able to make a large chunk of money.
  • Some bookmakers change their introductory offers quite often. So I also found a new bookmaker listed this month. I was lucky that this bookie offered some free spins when you signed up to them. I’ve never had any luck with free spins previously but ended up in profit from these, which was very helpful!

CASINO OFFERS: £210.79

  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, my introductory guide is worth a read.
  • Not all casino offers are risk-free. Regular readers will know that I’ve avoided casino offers since losing a little bit of money a while ago.
  • However, Profit Accumulator crunch the numbers and offer advice about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers. There seemed to be a lot of casino offers available this month. So I decided it was time to attempt some of these once again.
  • I never put more than £25 of my own money at risk. And, to be honest, I’ll normally only risk this much if I’m having a good month matched betting. My luck was in this month. While I’ve never had an elusive ‘big win’, I did manage to bank some good chunks of money in each of the offers I attempted. I wasn’t always lucky but, still, I’m very happy to have made more than £200 from these in one month alone.
  • My advice is to think carefully about the amount of money you are prepared to risk and have a go. But always follow Profit Accumulator’s advice and never ever be tempted to try and win back any money you lose by having another go!

ACCUMULATOR REFUNDS: -£2.72

  • These are offers where you get a free bet if one leg of an accumulator – where you bet on a few different results as part of the same bet – loses.
  • I started off the month with good intentions to get more accumulator bets under my belt. However, during my first weekend, most of the supposed favourites suffered surprising defeats. This meant all of my accumulators had more than one losing team. This meant there was no possibility of a refund and I lost all of my qualifying losses, amounting to £30.
  • After this, I was weary of completing accumulators. Furthermore my weekends were also very busy this month – and you normally need to be free at various points of the weekend to place your lay bets. So I didn’t get much of a chance to recoup my costs.
  • I aim to get more involved this month and will be publishing my introductory guide to these types of bets too.

PRICE BOOSTS: £26.18

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.

MUG BETS: -£9.13

  • I should perhaps have placed more mug bets this month. When you rely on reload offers for your matched betting income it’s important to look after your accounts to still be able to take advantage of offers. This is something I need to improve on to look like more of a normal betting customer.

FOOTBALL REFUND OFFERS: £5.10

  • There are lots of different offers attached to football games where you can get free bets in a variety of circumstances. This includes: when the team you back scores a goal; hitting the crossbar; losing your bet in the last few minutes of a game.

HORSE REFUND OFFERS: -£3.90

  • These are offers where you can get a free bet depending on the outcome of the race and the place where your horse finishes.
  • These are riskier offers in that there is no guarantee of a free bet, so you will suffer some qualifying losses. Unfortunately, I didn’t hit any free bets so suffered a small loss this month.

Matched betting mum diary earnings Profit Accumulator

MONTHLY MATCHED BETTING DIARY…8 MONTHS ON

Towards the end of last year I started my regular series of posts about how much money I’m making from matched betting. This is the latest instalment covering my matched betting earnings in January 2017.

The purpose of these updates is to show just how much it’s possible to earn from matched betting in your spare time. I’m a full time mum of two. With an 18-month-old boy who’s into everything, I don’t have much spare time! I’m lucky if I can spend 6 hours per week in total matched betting. Yet I manage to make about £500 per month. By sharing how I can do it, I hope to convince people that matched betting is suitable for anyone. With the support of Profit Accumulator, it’s possible to make money long-term from matched betting.

BACK TO MATCHED BETTING AFTER A BREAK

The canny among you will realise there’s a month missing since my last update when I reported my matched betting earnings up to the end of November 2016. That’s because I took December off to focus on enjoying Christmas. I loved my time away but, by early January, I was keen to get back to matched betting.

It took me a while to get back into the swing of things. It struck me that there weren’t as many reload offers available as I’d normally expect to see. I’d read that this was quite normal for the time of year and discussions with fellow matched betters confirmed this. Therefore, while I was disappointed not to meet my £500 target this month, I was grateful to make as much as I did!

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

JANUARY 2017 – £407.26

  • The total amount I made matched betting in January 2017 was £407.26.

When I started matched betting my aim was to make roughly £500 per month. I’ve beaten this most months. So I’m still on track to make this over the course of my first year matched betting!

Most offers are linked to major sporting events. As there wasn’t too much happening in January, it’s not surprising there were fewer offers available. The plus side of this is that I didn’t spend as much time matched betting, leaving me with more time to myself. Looking back over the month I probably spent about 4 hours per week matched betting on average. For the effort involved, I’m chuffed to have been able to make more than £400. That works out to more than £25 per hour. Not bad considering I can make this money at home, at times that suit me and my children.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS TO DATE – £4664.61

So, in the eight months I’ve now been doing matched betting I have made an impressive £4664.61. If you want to learn more about how and when I made this money take a look at my previous earnings reports:

WHICH MATCHED BETTING OFFERS DID I COMPLETE?

So how did I make that money? Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in through January 2017:

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £283.59

  • These are the bread and butter matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.
  • Profit Accumulator list all of the reload offers you can continue to get involved in long after completing the bookmaker sign up offers. Most of my earnings come from checking this list most days.
  • It’s also worth checking back to the sign up offers listed on Profit Accumulator every month or so. Some bookmakers change their introductory offers. So this month I found £50 worth of offers with bookmakers I hadn’t previously signed up to.

CASINO OFFERS: £10.93

  • After taking a hit the last time I completed some casino offers, I was weary of completing them. So this relatively small amount of money was made from completing only the risk-free offers that were available this month.
  • If you’ve not yet completed any casino offers, my introductory guide is worth a read. Not all casino offers are risk-free but they are definitely worth attempting. Profit Accumulator crunch the numbers and offer advice about the amount of money you are likely to make and how to approach the offers. I’ve now made more than a few hundred pounds from these offers alone.
  • My advice is to think carefully about the amount of money you are prepared to risk and have a go. This month I didn’t want to take any risks, especially as there were fewer matched betting offers available. However, some months I will risk up to £20 if an offer looks like it is good value.

ACCUMULATOR REFUNDS: £31.01

  • These are offers where you get a free bet if one leg of an accumulator – where you bet on a few different results as part of the same bet – loses.
  • I didn’t complete many accumulator offers this month so this wasn’t a bad return. I’m still finding my way with these types of bets. They do offer an extra way to make money but they can be time consuming, especially if you want to earn larger amounts of money. If you’re a little confused by these types of offers, I’ll be completing an introductory guide to accumulator bets soon.

PRICE BOOSTS: £31.78

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.
  • I purposely didn’t take advantage of too many enhanced odds this month. That’s because the bookmakers will limit the amount of money you can place on these types of bets if they think you might be abusing them.

MUG BETS: -£14.59

  • I should perhaps have placed more mug bets this month. When you rely on reload offers for your matched betting income it’s important to look after your accounts to still be able to take advantage of offers. This is something I need to improve on to look like more of a normal betting customer.

FOOTBALL REFUND OFFERS: £64.54

  • There are lots of different offers attached to football games where you can get free bets in a variety of circumstances. This includes: when the team you back scores a goal; hitting the crossbar; losing your bet in the last few minutes of a game.
  • I started to get more involved in these types of offers over the last month and was impressed with the results.

matched betting mum monthly diary £4000 6 months profit accumulator

Monthly Matched Betting Diary…6 Months On

Happy New Year to you all! I’ve had a bit of a break – both from the blog and from matched betting. It’s left me refreshed and ready to tell you as much as possible about this great thing called matched betting once again. I’m back with an update to my regular diary series.

Towards the end of last year I started my regular series of posts about how much money I’m making from matched betting. As I took most of December off, I’m a little bit behind. But, better late than never, here’s my update showing profits for November 2016.

The reason for me posting these updates is to show just how much it’s possible to make matched betting. There are lots of people with more time and flexibility making more than me. But as a busy mum with little spare time, my aim is to try and make as close to £500 per month as regularly as possible.

MATCHED BETTING EARNINGS

November 2016 – £458.95

  • The total amount I made matched betting in November 2016 was £458.95.

When I started matched betting my aim was to make roughly £500 per month. I’ve beaten this every month until now. But I’m still very happy with what I’ve been able to make.

It is tougher to earn money when completing the reload offers alone (these are the ongoing bookmaker offers) so I do expect my earnings to dip a little from now on. That said, there tend to be more offers when there are major sporting events which is likely to boost my earnings some months. So I still think £500 per month is achievable, surpassing it some months but falling under it in others.

My earnings were also impacted by a shift in my 15-month-old son’s sleeping pattern. Many people have asked me how I fit in matched betting around the children. I’ll be honest, it’s tough. But given my son was still sleeping 3 hours per day, shared between a morning and lunchtime nap, I’ve been considerably lucky. This gave me dedicated time to check out the daily offers listed by Profit Accumulator and place some bets.

But it was time to drop the morning nap. So, with my time effectively halved, I’m lucky to squeeze in an odd hour or so for matched betting these days. Initially, I was frustrated having my earnings potential limited by a lack of time. But now that we’ve adjusted, I’m really enjoying throwing myself into the baby and toddler things with Olly. We shan’t be having any more children so I want to make the most of the next couple of years with him. The fact that I can do this whilst continuing to make decent money in an odd hour or two I have free a few times a week is amazing!

Matched Betting Earnings To Date – £4257.35

So, in the six months I’ve now been doing matched betting I have made an impressive £4257.35. If you want to learn more about how and when I made this money take a look at my previous earnings reports:

Which Matched Betting Offers Did I Complete?

So how did I make that money? Here’s a breakdown of the different types of offers I got involved in through November:

BET X, AND GET A FREE BET: £209.65

  • These are the bread and butter matched betting offers where you bet a certain amount and get a free bet.

CASINO OFFERS: -£20.88

  • As highlighted in my introductory guide, casino offers are not risk free. And as you can tell from my negative winnings, I proved that this month! This has put me off completing riskier offers and I certainly won’t be risking more than £10 on these just yet. But don’t be put off. On the whole, I’ve still made a few hundred pounds on these offers so they are definitely worth attempting.

HORSE RACING REFUNDS: £58.57

  • This is less than the previous month but I only attempted a few and was successful in every one. These are definitely worth starting if you want to top up your matched betting income.

ACCUMULATOR REFUNDS: £69.45

  • These are offers where you get a free bet if one leg of an accumulator – where you bet on a few different results – loses. This is an increase in last month’s earnings but, for the effort involved in keeping track of accumulator bets, I’d like to have made a little more money from these. If you’re a little confused by these types of offers, I’ll be completing an introductory guide to accumulator bets soon.

PRICE BOOSTS: £131.78

  • I like completing price boosts because they are a quick way to make money instantly. The amount of money you can make from enhanced prices can seem very small (only a few pounds at a time, if you are lucky). But as it’s so quick to place the bets this is a very efficient way of making money. And the amount of money you can make adds up very quickly.

LOCK-INS: £1.62

  • These are bets you can place to guarantee a return from an otherwise risky offer. By risky, I mean that you risk a qualifying loss on the chance that a certain result might give you a free bet. For example, you might get a free bet if the result is 0-0. So you place a bet on the match hoping for this result.
  • It is possible to lock in the profit on some of these offers, meaning you can guarantee a profit whatever the outcome. Your earnings will be less than you would have received if the free bet comes in. But if there is only a small chance of that occurring, this is a surefire way of ensuring you still make money. It is complicated working out when a lock in is available and how much to bet. So this is another example of where I rely on Profit Accumulator’s forum for advice. I rarely place these types of bets but they are handy for extra money on occasion.

MUG BETS: -£22.12

  • I increased the number of mug bets I made this month. As I am now reliant on reload offers I am looking to place more more mug bets so this will increase further from now.

Mistakes Which Cost Me Money

Once again I made a few mistakes this month.  Mistakes are common although I am now getting better at managing these. I’d recommend you read my post about how to avoid making mistakes when matched betting.

Firstly, I accepted a reload offer sent to me via email without first checking the Profit Accumulator forum for advice. I read the terms and conditions attached to the offer and knew there was a high amount of wagering involved should my bets win at the bookmakers. But I decided to take the risk. However, as both my bets won at the bookmakers at high odds, this meant I was bound to lose money completing the lengthy rollover requirements. So I decided to cut my losses, which resulted in me losing around £30.

Had I consulted the forum, I would have seen there was some discussion of this offer. Some people, like me, were willing to give it a go. However, the official advice was that this was a very risky offer. If I’d read this, I probably wouldn’t have attempted the offer. The moral of this story is to always check the Profit Accumulator forum if you’re ever unsure of anything.

I also lost out on a very profitable offer by placing a lay bet on a different outcome to that which I had backed. This is quite a common and I realised my mistake immediately. However, by the time I got round to correcting this a little later in the game the odds had changed quite considerably. This meant the £40 I was due to make from this offer was cancelled out correcting the mistake. So, although I didn’t lose any money, I didn’t make any either!
